A fixed IP for remote access to Tally and your ERP. One address to allow.
Restricting a business app to your office IP is a good rule until people work from home. TrueIP gives the team one dedicated IPv4 to allow, and staff reach the app through it from anywhere.
The office-IP rule and the home Wi-Fi.
You locked the ERP, the accounts panel or the admin dashboard to the office IP so a stolen password alone isn't enough. Then the accountant starts working from home two days a week and can't log in. So someone adds her home IP. Next week her router restarts after a power cut and it changes again.
Home broadband in India rarely keeps an address. Many connections share a public IP through carrier-grade NAT, so the address you'd allow is shared with strangers anyway. Even the office line may not be static unless you're on a business plan. Before long the allowlist is a pile of old addresses, or the restriction gets switched off.
A better setup is one fixed IP that only your team uses. Allow that single address in the app. Staff, at the office or at home, send their traffic for that app through it. Remove someone's access by changing the proxy password, not by editing the allowlist.
Plenty of tools support this kind of restriction. Zoho lets admins restrict sign-in to allowed static IPs, Microsoft 365 uses named locations in Conditional Access, and Google Workspace has context-aware access on its higher editions. Microsoft notes that when a proxy is used, it checks the proxy's IP, which is exactly what you want here.
Set it up for the team in three steps.
- 01
Get a dedicated IPv4
Sign up and pay online. The IP is assigned in minutes, with its own host, port, username and password.
- 02
Allow it in your app
Add the address to the IP restriction in your ERP, admin panel or identity provider. Keep the office IP too while you switch over.
- 03
Set the proxy for staff
Add the proxy in each person's system or browser settings. The browser asks for the username and password once. Check with https://ifconfig.co in that browser.
Web apps work in the browser. RDP needs a tunnel.
For web-based ERPs, panels and TallyPrime Cloud Access in Chrome, setting a proxy is enough. Remote Desktop can't use an HTTP proxy directly, so that path needs a small local tunnel and is for teams comfortable with the command line.
- ✓ macOS proxy settings take a username and password
- ✓ Windows proxy settings take only the address, and the browser asks for the login
- ✓ Use a separate browser for work apps so personal browsing doesn't go through the proxy
- ✓ Change the proxy password to cut off someone who's left
What a fixed IP for remote access gives you.
One address for the whole team
Allow a single dedicated IP instead of a list of home addresses that keep changing. It's never shared with another customer, so only people with your proxy login come from it.
Same IP on renewal
Renew on time and the address never changes, so the app's allowlist stays as it is.
Access you control
The proxy login is the key. Change its password and anyone who's left the team is out.
Encrypted end to end
Your ERP's HTTPS stays encrypted through the proxy. We see a destination host, never your ledgers or logins.
GST invoice for your ITC
Every payment comes with a GST invoice in your company's name once you add your GSTIN in the portal.
Priced per IP. One is often enough.
A small team can share one IP for its work apps. Take another if a department needs its own allowlist.
IPv4 dedicated
Works with every appThe safe pick for ERP and admin panel allowlists, which often take IPv4 only. Same price per month on any term.
- Dedicated IPv4, never shared or rotated
- Per-IP host, port, user and password
- Same IP kept across renewals
- CSV export of credentials
- GST invoice on every payment
IPv6 dedicated
Locked for lifeFor identity providers that accept IPv6, such as Microsoft Entra named locations or Google Workspace access levels.
- Unique /128, never shared or rotated
- Per-IP host, port, user and password
- Same IP kept across renewals
- Price locked while you stay subscribed
Need IPs for a team or several servers? Same price per IP, one GST invoice.
Not sure which your app accepts? Try adding an address like 2001:db8::1 to its IP restriction, or use the plan finder.
Remote access questions.
Will the IP ever change?
No. The address stays the same for your whole term and on every renewal. Renew before it expires and the allowlist in your app never needs touching.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes, on every payment. IPv4 is ₹200 + 18% GST, so ₹236 a month. Add your GSTIN in the portal to get it in your company's name.
Is my data visible to you?
No. Your connection to the app is TLS encrypted end to end. We see encrypted traffic and the destination host, not your passwords, ledgers or reports. Breaking TLS would trigger a certificate error, so it can't happen silently.
IPv4 or IPv6 for this?
IPv4 unless you know your app takes IPv6. Microsoft Entra and Google Workspace accept IPv6 ranges, and there IPv6 at ₹50 a month works. Zoho's IP restriction is built around IPv4 ranges.
Can staff reach the office PC or a file server through this?
No. TrueIP only carries outgoing connections from your staff to the internet. It doesn't open ports, forward connections in, or reach devices inside your office or home. It works for apps that are already online and only check where you connect from.
Does it work with Tally?
It works with Tally setups you reach over the internet, such as TallyPrime Cloud Access in Chrome, and with any hosted Tally or ERP that lets you restrict access by IP. Remote Desktop connections need the local tunnel shown above.
Can the whole team share one IP?
Yes. Everyone uses the same proxy login, and the app sees one address. Keep it to work apps, not general browsing, so the connection stays quick for everyone.
