About TrueIP

TrueIP gives Indian algo traders a dedicated, SEBI compliant static IP they can whitelist with their broker. This page is the plain answer to the two questions people ask first: who is behind it, and why is it free.

Why we built it

We run our own trading software and needed dedicated static IPs to whitelist with brokers. We rented them from other providers and discovered some were quietly handing us shared IPs while charging for dedicated ones. So we bought our own routed block of addresses.

We bought roughly 2,500 addresses and use about 500. Rather than let the other ~2,000 sit idle, we hand them out as dedicated IPs to the people getting exploited by exactly the shared-IP practice we ran into.

Why the IPv6 tier is free

IPv4 addresses are scarce, so they carry a price. IPv6 addresses are not scarce, so they do not. On top of that, the infrastructure already exists for our own trading, so we are not trying to recover a build cost from the addresses we give away. That is the whole reason a dedicated IPv6 static IP can be free with us.

A few brokers still accept only IPv4. For those we provide a dedicated IPv4 at cost, around 250 rupees per month, with no markup. We are honest that the free IPv6 tier is offered while we grow the network and is not promised forever.

What we can and cannot see

TrueIP is an authenticated proxy. Your connection to your broker is TLS encrypted end to end. We are in the network path, so we can see that you connected to a given broker and when, the same metadata any proxy or VPN sees. We cannot see the contents: your orders, positions, broker login, or API keys are inside the encrypted tunnel and never visible to us.

The proxy credentials we issue are for the proxy itself and are separate from your broker API keys, which stay inside the TLS tunnel and never touch us. For the full explanation, see can a static IP provider see your trades.
